EALING ALTERNATIVE PROVISION
School allotment and
outdoor learning centre.
Thanks to generous funding from the Violence Reduction Unit, led by Sadiq Khan, we’ve created a thriving and abundant growing space in the school garden at a pupil referral unit. Here, students who have faced challenges in mainstream education have the opportunity to grow, learn, and thrive in a supportive environment.
FROM FRESH PRODUCE
TO FLOWER POWER
Students actively participate in producing fresh, seasonal ingredients, with a portion being used in the school canteen. This hands-on approach helps them develop a deeper understanding of sustainability, healthy eating, and community engagement. In addition to food production, we run Punchy Bunch, a scheme where students learn to grow, cut, and arrange beautiful bunches of flowers. These bouquets are sold at the local train station every Friday, with all proceeds reinvested back into the business. Each week, students also cook their lunches over an open fire, fostering teamwork, creativity, and essential life skills.
Hands-On Learning
Opportunities
Our program runs three days a week, offering rolling sessions where students can join throughout the day for a variety of activities, including gardening, woodland maintenance, and fire cooking. These sessions are designed to build confidence, resilience, and a sense of connection to the natural world—key elements for supporting students’ personal growth and well-being.
We’re proud to have recently installed a new school tipi, now serving as a vibrant outdoor learning centre. We’re in the process of transforming this space into an outdoor recording studio, adding an exciting creative element to the project.
OUR project is all about inspiring young people to connect with their environment, develop valuable skills, and discover the joys of growing, learning, and creating together. we’re helping studentsbuild brighter, more positive futures.
